Welcome to ShidaSweets™, a boutique bakery specializing in homemade, delicious, high-quality custom pound cakes. Our pound cakes bring back memories of homemade desserts by grandma, aunties, and moms, providing moments of joy and a connection to warm memories through every slice.
Founder and CEO Rashida Johnson began baking pound cakes to replicate a family recipe perfected by her great-aunt Isabel. Aunt Isabel baked a delicious 7-up pound cake until she was 88, sharing them at family events to the delight of all who had the pleasure of tasting them. She passed away at 90, and the recipe was lost.
Dr. Johnson initially baked to honor her late aunt and continue the tradition of making pound cakes for family and friends. This activity led to the development of many different recipes and a passion for baking pound cakes, ultimately resulting in the creation of ShidaSweets™.
